Stop Running

Running is a symptom of fear.
Running is a reaction stimulated when our fight or flight response kicks into gear.
Running is triggered by an event that causes stress or pain.
Running is a habit for most people when they feel they have something else to gain.
Running is the byproduct of someone finally getting what they want but don’t know how to handle it with care.
Running is what we do when we are scared.
But when it comes to love, what’s so scary?
Is it so hard for you to believe someone actually loves you?
Is it so much of a responsibility that you feel you can’t live up to?
Is it to much of a burden to open your heart and be vulnerable to someone?
Is it to much to commit to a life of togetherness ‘cuz you feel like you’ll have to give up the fun?
But relationships are fun.
You can make them to be.
See…your relationship can be however you want it to be.
It just takes some
Communicating and compromise,
Validating and sympathize,
Planning and rationalize,
Nurturing and empathize.
We run when we feel we don’t have the tools to do these things,
So doubting yourself is the real cause of your pain.
We run when we feel like we are not good enough.
We run when the pressure is on and going gets tough.
We run from the people and things that matter the most.
We run as if we have seen a ghost.
STOP RUNNING AND FACE YOUR FEARS!
STOP RUNNING AND SHEDDING TEARS.
STOP RUNNING AND RUINING ALL THINGS GOOD.
STOP RUNNING AND STAND TALL AS YOU SHOULD.
STOP RUNNING AND CORRECT YOUR MISTAKES.
STOP RUNNING or accept your fate.
The choice is yours…
Are you gonna keep running and self-sabotaging everything that finally goes right in your life?
Or are you gonna stop running and make things right?
